In ajunul ,,Sfantului Dumitru cel Mare" se face un foc mare care se numeste focul lui sumedru. se zicr din batrani ca cine aduna cenusa si carbuni dupa terminarea focului va avea in anul urmator un an bun cu roade bogate si multa sanatate.Acest foc se mai face si pentru indepartarea raului.
